Annie M. Snowden

Mrs. Annie M. Snowden, of Augusta, entered into rest on Monday, May 14, 2012, at Doctor’s Hospital.She was 83 years old.Mrs. Snowden was the wife of the late William Victor Snowden Sr.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Snowden (2007) and her son, William (Vic) Snowden Jr. (2008); a sister and a brother. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Crestview Baptist Church. The committal services will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Rev. Kevin Jones will officiate.Pallbearers will be her grandsons, David Snowden, Brandon Jeep, Ryan Jeep, Stephen Stegall, Steve Brooks, and Frank Inglett. Mrs. Snowden is survived by her children, Rose Crawford (John), Belinda Moore (Charlie), and Terry Brooks (Jim); her daughter in law, Stephanie Snowden; hergrandchildren, Shannon Snowden, David (Ashley) Snowden, Frank (Angie) Inglett, Dale (Lily) Inglett, Brandon (Kathy) Jeep, Ryan (Amy) Jeep, Stephen (Rheannon) Stegall, Teresa (Greg), Chip, Steve (Pam), Jeremy (Nikki), Kevin (Stacy), Tammy, Kimberly; and nineteen great grandchildren; her brothers, Paul (Peggy) Wuestney, David (Billie) Wuestney; and her sister, Marti (Jake) Manuel. Mrs. Snowden retired from Civil Service at Ft. Gordon,Georgia as a purchasing agent in 1989 and spent her retirement years enjoying her grandchildren, traveling, and especially attending numerous family weddings, birthday parties, and the annual family reunion.She and her friend, Mary, spent many hours solving the daily crossword puzzles and she was an avid college football fan.She was a charter member of Crestview Baptist Church.
