Augusta, GA Amelia C. Abasolo, age 85, of Augusta, GA., passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Clara (Casais) Canovaca and her husband, John Abasolo. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Patti (the late Mark) Myers of Augusta, GA., and Brenda Abasolo of Lodi, OH.; a niece, Mercedes Diaz of Augusta, GA., one granddaughter, Arwen Myers of Portland, OR. Family will receive friends Thursday 7 pm to 8:30 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta, GA., 30906, 706.798.8886. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Rd., Augusta, GA., with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
