Mrs. Alice “Muddie”Rosier Mrs. Alice “Muddie” Rosier, of Augusta, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 27, 2010.She was 87 years old. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.The committal service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Rev. Sandy Heslop and Rev. Perry Shelfer will officiate. Pallbearers are Albert Cosnahan, Ryan Johnson, Thomas Bugg, Stanley Bugg, Roger Bugg, and Dip Bugg. Mrs. Rosier is survived by her daughter, Clara Rosier Cosnahan, and her husband, Jack, of Augusta; her son, Donnie Rosier, of Augusta; her grandchildren, Larry Cosnahan and his wife, Ann, Terry Roberts, and her husband, Tim, Kim Buckner and her husband, Allen, Travis Rosier, and his wife, Nicole, Angie Walton, and her husband, Joshua; her great grandchildren, Albert Cosnahan and his wife, Kim, Justin Rosier, Matt, and Brieanna; her close friend, Virginia Rosier, several nieces and nephews.Mrs. Rosier was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Rosier in 2007, her son, Horace Rosier, her parents, Horace E. Pearson and Ebner Delores Pearson, and her sisters, Doris Cliett and Florence O’Donnell. Mrs. Rosier was a founding member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church.She retired from Gracewood State School and Hospital after more than 35 years of service.She loved sewing, gardening, and cooking. She was a person whose heart and home were always opened to anyone who needed her help. The family suggests that memorials be made to Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 2005 Windsor Spring Road, Augusta, Georgia, 30906. The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886, is in charge of the arrangements.
