Adelheid "Heidi" Elizabeth Diez Waters

Adelheid "Heidi" Elizabeth Diez Waters, age 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 10, 2022. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She passed away in the presence of family in Martinez, Georgia. She was born on July 12, 1931, in Rosenheim, Germany to Max Diez and Elisabeth Maria Winhard Diez. She attended high school in Germany and served as an interpreter for the U.S. Army after the war. After coming to the States with her husband, she was a housewife and mother and later worked at First Federal Savings and Loan in Augusta, Georgia for 25 years as the supply room supervisor. Her husband, Roswell "Bob" Waters, U.S. Army Retired, preceded her in death. She leaves behind a family of six children: Ron (Jackie) Waters, Randy (Kathy) Waters, Rick (Shannon) Waters, Roy Waters, Patty (Ray) Walker, and Rob (Gisa) Waters. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild on the way. Family remaining in Germany includes a nephew and two grandnephews. She had a great love and passion for animals, particularly for rescue and stray dogs. These she readily adopted over many years and cared for. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a local animal rescue of one's choice.
