Addie Beatrice "Bea" Lewis

Addie Beatrice “Bea” Lewis, 79, of Martinez, GA went to heaven January 26,2023 because our Lord and Savior called her home. Bea was born in Jefferson, GA on November 15, 1943 to Rena Mae (Dalton) Sealey and Edward E. Roberts. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend to many. Bea was lovingly known as “Cooter, Memaw, Gam-maw, and Sis . Bea loved Jesus and was a faithful member of Assembly at Augusta Church in Martinez, GA. She was a dedicated employee at University Hospital of Augusta for more than 30 years retiring in 2009. Many would say to know her was to love her as she was always generous to gift everyone with her warm smile, words of wisdom, and helping hands. In her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as well as watching her favorite TV classics. One must not forget her time spent playing games on her iPad as well. Above all she found her greatest joy spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her mother Rena Mae Sealey (I.H) of Locust Grove, GA, her sons Glenn Oglesby (Janet), Doug Oglesby (Julie), and daughters Carpii Edenfield, Krista McWhorter, and Dana Lewis. She was blessed with many who called her Memaw or Gammaw ; Danielle, Carey (Eli), Zachary, Amber, Dalton, Alissa, Ashton (Evan), Hopelynn, Daniel, Mitchell (Amber), Haley, Nicholas (Hannah) , Spencer , Peyton , and Piper . Her Great Grandchildren; Averi, Kylie, Payton, Lathan, Ava, Raylyn, Brody, Brinley, and Baker. She is also survived by her brothers Marty Roberts of Locust Grove and Henry Rusty Sealey of Eatonton, GA. Preceded in death by her father Edward E. Roberts of Jefferson, Ga and brother Lewis Roberts of Albany, GA and her sister Mabel Chambers of Homosassa, FL. There will be a celebration of life at Assembly at Augusta Church on February 4, 2023 at 2:00pm ; 4207 Wheeler road, Martinez, GA 30907, Pastor Brandon Lanier officiating . The family will receive condolences starting at 1:00pm prior to service. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to The Church Land and Building Fund.
